Operation process
–  Screw the dial gauge -VAS 6079- with universal dial gauge bracket -VW 387- onto cylinder block and set it against crank web.
–  Push the crankshaft by hand against the gauge and adjust this to „0“.
–  Remove the crankshaft from the gauge and read the value obtained.
Axial clearance:
l  New: 0.07 ... 0.23 mm.
l  Wear limit 0.30 mm.
