High-pressure pump - exploded view > < Removing and installing intake manifold with fuel rail

Fuel rail: removing and fitting .
Fuel rail: removing and fitting .
After the fuel rail has been removed or renewed, intake manifold flap potentiometer -G336- must be adapted to engine control unit -J623-.
  Note
Intake manifold must be removed; refer to → Chapter for removal procedure.
–  Open the hose clamp -1-.
–  Remove activated charcoal filter container hose lines.
–  Open the fuel supply pipe on the fuel rail.
   
–  Unscrew the bolts -arrows- from the fuel rail.
–  Detach fuel rail from intake manifold.
Installation
–  Always renew both connecting pieces for fuel supply pipe.
–  Connect fuel pipe.
–  Re-connect electrical connectors.
–  Fit extraction hose → Chapter.
l  Tightening torque: refer to intake manifold - exploded view → Chapter
l  Tightening torque: Fuel rail - exploded view → Chapter
–  Installation is carried out in reverse order.
