  Note
t  During engine repairs if significant amounts of metal shavings or particles created by damage or abrasion are found in the oil, this could be due to damage to the piston or bedplate bearings. To avoid subsequent damage, carry out the following operations following the initial repairs:
t  Clean minutely, the oil conduits
t  Replace oil jets.
t  Replace the oil radiator.
t  Replace the oil filter.
t  The oil level must not be above the max. mark - danger of damaging catalytic converter!

Remove and fit the oil pump with rotational balancing unit → Chapter.
