Exhaust system: install without stress
Exhaust system: install without stress
l  The exhaust system must be installed cold.
Perform the following work:
   
–  Release the bolted connectors -3 and 4- from the front clamp-1-.
–  Align the front clamp -1- with mark -A- on the exhaust pipe before the catalytic converter -2- (the -arrow- shows the driving direction).
l  Dimension -a- = 5 mm
l  The bolted connectors must be on the right and must not project over the lower edge of the clamp.
–  Manually tighten the front bolted connector -3- on the clamp.

–  Move the exhaust system forwards until the pre-tension on the retaining element on the rear silencer (dimension -a-) = 15 - 17 mm.

–  From this position, tighten the bolted connectors -3 and 4- evenly on the clamping sleeve to torque 25 Nm.

–  Install the clamp sleeve so that ends of bolts do not protrude beyond bottom of clamp sleeve.
l  Bolted connection must point to the right.
