Removing and installing throttle valve moduleJ338
Removing and installing throttle valve module -J338-
t  Removing → Anchor
t  Installing → Anchor
Removing
–  Remove engine cover panel → Chapter.
   
–  Unscrew the securing bolts -arrows- and remove the engine soundproofing..
–  Remove the alternator → Electrical system ; Rep. gr.27.

Vehicles with engine code BWA
–  Loosen the bolts and clamps -arrows-, and remove the supercharger air pipe with the hose facing downwards.

Vehicles with engine codes BWJ, CDLD, CDLA
–  Disconnect connector -3-.
–  Separate the clamp -1- and remove the hose.
–  Remove bolt -2-.
  E19-10017
–  Disconnect connector -2-.
–  Loosen the clamp -1-.
–  Loosen the bolts -arrows-, and remove the supercharger air pipe with the hose facing downwards.
All other vehicles continued
–  Loosen the four bolts of the throttle valve control unit -J338-, and remove it.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; noting the following in the process:
–  If a new throttle valve control unit -J338- has been fitted, adapt the engine control unit to the throttle valve control unit -J338- → Vehicle diagnostic tester„Guided functions“.
