Oil filter bracket: removing and fitting t  Removing → Anchor t  Installing → Anchor Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter. Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Pliers for spring-loaded band-type clamps -VAS 6499-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing –  Drain coolant → Chapter. –  Remove the alternator → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27 .

–  Remove the Lambda probe -G39--Pos. 1-.

–  unscrew the bolts -arrows- and remove the heat protection plate -1-.

–  Release hose clip -1- and detach coolant hose. –  Remove banjo bolt -2-. –  Unscrew the bolt -3- and remove the oil supply pipe.

–  Unscrew the bolts -1- and remove the oil filter bracket. Installing l  Tightening torques → Chapter Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following:   Note t  Replace seals, gasket and connecting pipe. t  Secure hose unions with hose clamps the same as those of the series → Electronic parts catalogue. –  Install heat shield → Item. –  Fit the lambda probe -G39-. –  Remove the alternator → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27. –  Fill up with coolant → Chapter.
