Oil pressure and oil pressure switch: checking > < Oil pump: removing and installing

Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench -VAG 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor.

Removing
–  Unscrew the securing bolts -arrows- and remove the engine soundproofing..
–  Remove front right hand side wheel housing protection: → Bodywork, exterior fitting work; Rep. gr.66.
–  Remove poly V-belt → Chapter.

–  Unscrew the bolts -arrows- and place the alternator to one side.
  Note
t  If the alternator is stuck on its support, tighten the fixing screw 2 turns less.
t  Carefully tap the bolt heads with the flat side of the hammer (in this manner you release the alternator fixing clamps).
–  Drain coolant → Chapter
  A27-10035
–  Unscrew the screws -arrows- and remove the coolant pipes.
–  Unscrew the screws -1, 2, 3- and remove the oil cooler.
  Note
For purpose of clarity, the installation position is displayed with the exhaust gas turbocharger and primary exhaust pipe removed.
Installing
t  Tightening torques → Chapter
Install in reverse order to dismantling, noting the following:

Replace O-rings.
–  Installing the alternator.
  Note
The coolant in the entire system must be changed if the engine oil cooler is renewed.
–  Fill up coolant → Chapter.
