t  Extractor -T10094A-, see equivalent → Anchor

t  Extractor -T10118-, see equivalent → Anchor   Note The housings for ignition coils with output stages have been modified. As a result, the ignition coils can only be removed and mounted using the extractor -T10094A-. The former extractor -T10094- may still be used if it is modified as follows.

–  Remove marked area -2- using suitable workshop equipment to attain the new nominal dimension -B- of 18 mm. –  Add the letter A to the tool description -1-.

Removing –  Lift the engine cover by the positions -1- and push the cover forwards in the direction of the -arrow-.

–  Remove securing bolts -1- from crankcase breather connection and from non-return valve. –  Disconnect connector -2- from turbocharger air recirculation valve -N249- and pull hose connection -3- off.

–  Position puller -T10094A--arrow- on ignition coil with output stage. –  Pull ignition coil with final output stage out slightly. –  Position the extractor -T10118- as shown. –  Carefully release connector locking mechanism and pull off connector. Installing –  Fit puller -T10094A- on ignition coil with final output stage. –  Push connector onto ignition coil with final output stage until it audibly engages.

–  Press ignition coil with final output stage into cylinder head in direction of -arrow-.

–  Insert the rubber grommet -1- into the hose -2-. –  Push the tube -2- onto the intake supports -3-. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Tightening torque of the securing screws, connecting supports for the cylinder block venting and non-return valve: 10 Nm.
