Note To carry out this work it is necessary to disconnect battery earth strap. The vehicle should be checked for a fitted radio. If necessary, obtain the anti-theft code for the radio first. |
–
With the ignition switched off disconnect battery earth strap.
–
Remove the following components:
t
The vacuum tube from the injector case
t
The gas breather tube from its attachment to the vacuum tube and the cylinder head
t
The hot air collector tube from its attachment to the exhaust manifold thermal plate
t
The low-pressure tube from its attachment on the rear of the vacuum tube
t
The air filter assembly
t
Accelerator control cable.
t
The flexible tube to the active carbon filter, by the connection on the suspension turret.
–
Extract the fuel feed and return tubes by the connection on the suspension turret. The fuel system is under pressure, it is necessary to place a cloth around the connection before removing the flexible tubes.
Cover the disconnected tubes immediately to avoid the penetration of dirt into the fuel system.
–
Extract the electrical connections from the injector and the pre-heater of the intake manifold, then, remove the electrical installation from its attachments to the cylinder head.
To remove the electrical installation, it is necessary to remove the protective cover, the central connection support and the support on the cylinder head.
–
Extract the low-pressure flexible tube to the brake servo from the inlet manifold.
–
Release the clips and remove the coolant flexible tubes from the cylinder head and the inlet manifold.
–
Remove the cables for the spark plugs and the distributor tube for the coolant liquid.
