Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
Special tools and workshop equipment required

Work sequence
  W00-10343
–  Connecting the central diagnosis -VAS 5051B-
–  Start engine and run at idling speed.
Only when engine does not start:
–  Switch ignition on.
–  Briefly press the key “Vehicle self diagnosis”.

Indicated in the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051B-:
–  Select vehicle system “01 - Engine electronics ” in menu -1-.
–  Wait until the following is displayed.

Indicated in the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051B-:
–  Select function “02 - Interrogate fault memory”.
–  If no fault is stored in engine control unit “0 fault(s) detected” is displayed.
–  If faults are stored in the engine control unit, they will be displayed as a list.
–  Press the ← key.
–  Select function “05 - Erase fault memory”.
–  Press function “06-End output”.
