Coolant temperature sender -G62-: Removing and installing
Removing:
l  Engine cold.
–  Remove the air filter housing → Chapter.
   
–  Release hose clip -2-.
–  Remove bolt -4-.
–  Unplug electrical connector -arrow-.
–  Remove noise insulation → Bodywork, exterior fitting work; Rep. gr.50

–  Remove charge air hose -A- and seal charge air cooler with a clean cloth.

–  Remove bolt -1- and take out air pipe downwards.

–  Disconnect electrical connection -1- on throttle valve control unit -J338-.
–  Unscrew bolts -arrows- and remove throttle valve module -J338-.

–  Remove support for intake manifold (remove nut -2- and bolt -1-).

–  Unplug electrical connector -1- at coolant temperature sender -G62-.
–  Detach retaining clip (press release tabs -arrows-).
–  Pull out coolant temperature sender -G62-.
  Note
Insert new coolant temperature sender -G62-, with 0-ring, immediately into union to avoid loss of coolant.
Installing:
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; noting the following in the process:
t  Renew O-ring.
t  After completing repair: check coolant level.
