  WARNING
Liquified gas is heavier than air!
There should be no recesses such as channels, pits, cellars or other rooms that are in lower areas where the gas is able to escape to.
There must be no active sources of ignition, such as open fire, electric sparks, electrostatic discharge and hot surfaces that may lead to the ignition of the liquified gas.
   
–  Unscrew both hexagon bolts -1- and remove the protective cover -2-.
  WARNING
Liquified gas tanks may not be emptied in closed rooms!
There is a risk of explosions or poisoning!
Fuel tanks must always be drained outside!
–  Connect the vehicle diagnosis tester → Chapter.
–  Connect vehicle diagnosis tester.
–  Switch on ignition.
–  On the display, select the field „Guided fault finding“.
If the display indications that normally accompany the operation sequence are not displayed, see → operating instructions Vehicle diagnosis tester.
–  Press the field > to confirm.
–  Then select:
t  Brand
t  Model
t  Model year
t  Engine codes
–  Confirm the vehicle identification.

–  Select „01 - Systems capable of self-diagnosis“-arrow- and confirm with >.

–  Select „01 - Engine control“-arrow- and confirm with >.

–  Select „01 - Functions“-arrow- and confirm with >.

–  Select „Read-off pressure in the gas distribution rail“-arrow- and confirm with >.
The test begins.
  Note
Read and observe the safety warnings and instructions.
–  Confirm the safety instructions with field >.

The actual value -arrow- is displayed.

–  Start the engine and press the fuel selection switch (Petrol / Gas) -E395--1- of the centre console.

–  Accelerate to a speed of 1,200 rpm and wait until the engine switches to gas mode. This will be indicated via the signal lamp -1- in the dash panel insert -K-.
The plug connector remains connected to the valve for the gas tank -N495-.

–  Undo the nut -1- of the valve for the gas tank -N495--2- and remove the valve in the -direction of the arrow-.
You must be able to clearly hear when the valve for the gas tank -N495- closes.
The increase in pressure can take several minutes and can be accelerated by pressing the accelerator several times.

The gas line is almost depressurised when the pressure display -arrow- has dropped.
–  Confirm with field >.
–  Fields 1 to 3 can be used to select the following functions:
t  1 = The increase in pressure was successful (Procedure is finished)
t  2 = The increase in pressure was not successful (Procedure is repeated)
t  3 = Quit (Procedure will be interrupted)
As soon as the fuel pressure has fallen, turn off the ignition.
–  Remove the battery -A- and its mount → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27
–  Remove air filter with its housing → Chapter.
  WARNING
Risk of injuries due to possible escaping gases.
The system is pressurised!
Meet the required measures: Wear protective gloves and safety goggles.
Before opening the system place a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully loosening the connection.

–  Carefully undo the screw connection -arrow- of the gas line -1- on the gas inlet of the filer housing using a hollow bolt.
