Installing > < Evaporator for vehicles operated with liquefied gas: Removing and installing

–  Unscrew both hexagon bolts -1- and remove the protective cover -2-.

–  Start the engine, accelerate to a minimum speed of 1200 rpm and wait until the fuel selection switch (Petrol / Gas) -E395- is positioned to Gas -1-.

–  Start the engine, accelerate to a minimum speed of 1200 rpm and wait until the fuel selection switch (Petrol / Gas) -E395- is positioned to Gas -1-.

Continued for all vehicles
–  Disconnect the connector of the valve for the gas tank -N495--arrow- .

–  Wait until thefuel selection switch (Petrol / Gas) -E395--1- releases a fault message.

–  Wait until thefuel selection switch (Petrol / Gas) -E395--1- releases a fault message.
  Note
The fault message occurs optically as well as acoustically.

–  Switch engine off.
–  Completely remove the air filter housing → Chapter
–  Remove the battery -A- and its mount → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.
–  Disconnect the coolant hoses that lead to the evaporator together with the clips -3093-.
  WARNING
Gas may escape when opening the gas line. Wear safety goggles and appropriate clothing to avoid injury to eyes and burns. Wind the separation point in a rag and open carefully.

–  Loosen the screw connection -arrow- of the gas line -1- on the gas inlet of the filer housing using a hollow bolt.

–  Disconnect the plug connection -1- for the solenoid valve.
–  Loosen the bracket -2- and and remove the gas hose.
–  Unscrew the bolts -arrows- and remove the evaporator.

–  Remove the vacuum line -1- and the coolant hose -2- from the evaporator.
