WARNING The fuel line and the gas lines must be under pressure. Wear safety goggles and appropriate clothing to avoid injury and contact with skin. Before loosening hose connections, wrap a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully pulling hose off connection. |
Customer services and maintenance services of liquified gas systems may only be carried out by authorised specialist personnel that have completed training courses for this purpose. |
|
To prevent injuries to persons and/or serious damage to the fuel injection and ignition system, the following must be noted: |
t
| Do not touch or remove the ignition cables with the engine running or idling. |
t
| The ignition must be switched off before connecting or disconnecting injection or ignition system wiring or tester cables. |
t
| Perform an inspection after all repair work carried out on the autogas system (LPG) → Chapter. |
Caution When doing any repair work, especially in the engine compartment, pay attention to the following due to the cramped conditions: |
t
| All the various lines (e.g. fuel, hydraulic system, active carbon filter system, coolant, refrigerant, brake fluid and vacuum pipes and hoses) and electrical wiring must be installed in their original positions. |
t
| In order to avoid damage to the lines, ensure sufficient clearance for all moving or hot components. |
|
Please note the following if test equipment has to be used during a test drive: |
t
| Test and measuring instruments must always be secured to rear seat and operated by a second person. |
If test and measuring instruments are operated from front passenger seat, there is a possibility that the person sitting in this seat may receive serious injuries when the airbag is triggered. |
–
| Erase fault memory of engine control unit after completing work as the faults were stored when the fuse has been pulled off. |
