Operation: verification > < Voltage supply relay for the engine control unit J271 : verification

–  Switch off ignition.
   
–  Remove the voltage supply relay (relay position 10).

–  Measure the voltage with the multimeter and the auxiliary cables of -V.A.G 1594 A- or -V.A.G 1594 C- as follows:

Specification: about the battery voltage

If the ideal value is not measured:
–  Carry out the following checks:
   
–  Check the fuse 34.
  N24-1481
–  Test the fuse -S163- (110 A) in the main battery fuse box.
–  Check the cable connection from the battery positive terminal (terminal 30), going through the fuse -S163- andfuse -34-, to the voltage supply relay -J271-: → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations.
