In order to extract the spark plugs, fit the extractor -T40039- into the upper large groove -arrow- on the ignition coils with final power output stage.
–
Pull all of the ignition coils out about 30 mm using the extractor -T40039-.
–
Release the connectors -arrows- and separate the ignition coils at the same time.
Install ignition coils with output stages
Note
t
If new spark plugs are installed, the ignition coil connections must be lubricated with the lubricating paste -G 052 141 A2-. This prevents the sealing hose of the ignition coil from »sticking« to the spark plug. The lubricating paste must be distributed when the ignition coils connections are fitted to the spark plugs .
t
The new ignition coils are already coated with lubricating paste when supplied.
–
In the area of the sealing hose of the ignition coil -arrow-, apply a fine cord of lubricating paste -G 052 141 A2- around entire circumference. The sealing cord must have a minimum thickness of 1 ... 2 mm.
–
Insert the ignition coil loosely in the spark plug connector.
–
Align the ignition coils with their connectors, and connect all the connectors to the ignition coils at the same time.
–
Insert by hand, all of the ignition coils until they enter into contact with the spark plugs.
