1 - 22 Nm
2 - Intake manifold
q   With mechanical exhaust gas recirculation valve and motor for intake manifold flap -V157-
q   Tighten securing bolts to 22 Nm
3 - Seal
q   Replace
4 - Connecting pipe
5 - exhaust gas recirculation radiator
q   For exhaust gas recirculation
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
6 - 10 Nm
7 - Exhaust manifold
8 - Connecting pipe
9 - Vacuum chamber for exhaust gas recirculation cooler change-over (Bypass flap)
q   This directs the exhaust gas to the radiator for exhaust gas recirculation when activated by the exhaust gas recirculation valve -N18-
10 - Spring retainer
q   For vacuum chamber for exhaust gas recirculation radiator change-over (Bypass flap)
11 - 5 Nm

Engine code letters BJB
   
1 - Intake manifold
q   With exhaust gas recirculation valve and intake flap
q   Tighten securing bolts to 22 Nm
2 - From charge air cooler
3 - Seal
q   Replace
4 - 22 Nm
5 - Exhaust manifold
6 - Connecting pipe

Select engine identification letters BLS
   
1 - 10 Nm
2 - exhaust gas recirculation radiator
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
3 - O ring
q   Replace
4 - 10 Nm
5 - Exhaust gas recirculation valve -N18- with potentiometer for exhaust gas recirculation -G212-
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
6 - 22 Nm
7 - 10 Nm
8 - Intake manifold
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
9 - O ring
q   Replace
10 - Seal
q   Replace
11 - Intermediate hose
12 - O ring
q   Replace
13 - Intake manifold flap motor -V157-
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
14 - 10 Nm
15 - Seal
q   Replace
16 - 22 Nm
