Special tools and workshop equipment required

Removing
–  Remove central noise insulation -Attachment parts 1 ... 3-.
–  Unscrew the left and right hand side air pipes of the intercooler.
–  Place the lock carrier plate into service position without mechanical components: →  Bodywork, exterior fitting work ; Rep. gr.50.
–  Remove the coolant radiator → Chapter.
  WARNING
The air conditioning refrigerant circuit must not be opened.

–  Undo the bolts -1- from the lock carrier plate to the intercooler.
  Note
To avoid damage to the refrigerant pipes/hoses, take care not to strain, kink or bend pipes and hoses.

–  Unscrew the condenser bracket bolt -arrow-.

–  Remove securing bolts -2- of condenser.
–  Pull the radiator out upwards.
Installing
Continue the installation in the reverse order of removal sequence, observing the following:
–  Fit the supercharger air system hoses and observe the assembly instructions → Chapter.
