Sealing flanges and flywheel - component overview
1 - 15 Nm
2 - Seal
q   replace → Chapter
q   Do not use oil
3 - Front sealing flange:
q   Must sit on dowel sleeves
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
4 - cylinder block
5 - Dual-mass flywheel
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
q   Fitting is only possible in one position due to the asymmetric holes
6 - 60 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn) further
q   Replace.
7 - Intermediate plate
q   Must sit on dowel sleeves
q   Do not damage/bend when assembling
q   Is fitted onto sealing flange → Fig.
8 - Sender wheel
q   For engine speed sender -G28-
q   Removing and fitting, see rear sealing flange: substitute → Chapter
9 - 15 Nm
10 - Sealing flange, rear
q   With seal
q   replace → Chapter
11 - Engine speed sender -G28-
12 -  4.5 Nm

   
Intermediate plate installation
–  Fit intermediate plate on sealing flange and push onto dowel sleeves -arrows-.
