Engine temperature sender: verification

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Manual multimetre -V.A.G 1526-

t	Auxiliary measurement tool set -V.A.G 1594C-

Verification process

–	Switch ignition off.

–	Remove the connector -1- from the sender.

–	Take a resistance measurement between the contacts of the sender -2- using the manual multimetre -V.A.G 1526- and the Auxiliary measurement tool set -V.A.G 1594C- between contacts 1 and 3.

If the ideal value is not measured:

–	Replace the engine temperature sender.
