| Remove the cylinder head gasket from its wrapping only just before assembly. |

| Treat the new gasket with utmost care. Damage to the gaskets can cause leaks. |

| Place clean rags in the cylinder so that neither filth nor grinder remains between the cylinder guide and the piston. |

| The entrance of filth and grinder into the refrigerant must also be avoided. |

| Now clean the hermetic surfaces of the cylinder head and the cylinder block thoroughly. Take care not to scratch the parts (when grinding paper is used, the grade should not be less than 100). |

| Remove all the sand and polish residue as well as the other rags. |

| Place the piston in the first cylinder, in the upper neutral position and turn the crankshaft a little ways backward. |
