Assemble > < Disassemble and assemble the fuel transport unit

Disassemble
Disassemble
–  First check if there is an encoded radio device installed. If there is, consult the anti-theft encoding.
–  Before beginning assembly tasks, remember the safety rules → Chapter.
–  Disconnect the earth strap from the battery with the ignition on.
–  Fold the rear seat forward.
–  Disassemble the trunk floor cover.
  Caution
The fuel advance conduit is under pressure. Before disconnecting the hoses, wrap a rag around the connection point. Then reduce pressure cautiously removing the hose.
   
–  Unplug the connector -1- and the advance and reflux conduits -2, 3- from the flange.
–  Assemble the -3217- wrench over the three rounded bolts of the cap nut and unscrew the nut from the flange.
–  Use the tool. -U-40055-
–  Remove the transport unit and the sealing ring for the opening of the fuel tank .
  Note!
If you wish to replace the transport unit, you should first drain the old unit before sending it to the evacuation.
