  Note!
t  If the cover screws are loosened or tightened using a power tool, the threads in the lower part of the air filter may be damaged. For this reason, only use a power tool in the following conditions:
t  Maximum revolutions of tool, 200 rpm
t  Maximum tightening torque 3 Nm
2 - Filter cartridge
3 - Air filter lower part
4 - Gasket
q   Renew if damaged
5 - Crankcase breather hose
6 - Warm air intake
7 - Air intake duct with regulating flap
q   Check intake air preheating → Chapter

Resistance values
The diagram refers to the coolant temperature sender -G62- and the intake air temperature sender -G42-
The diagram is divided into two temperature ranges:
A - from 0…50 °C
B - from 50…105 °C
Examples:
t  30 °C is in range A and corresponds to a resistance of 1,5…2,0 kΩ
t  80 °C is in range B and corresponds to a resistance of 275…375 Ω

Removing the air filter
–  Loosen securing bolts marked with -arrows- to remove air filter.
  Note!
t  When the securing bolts are loosened or tightened using a power tool, the threads in the intake tube may be damaged. For this reason, only use a power tool in the following conditions:
