| Before carrying out repairs on the Haldex coupling, determine the cause of the fault as accurately as possible by using the „Guided fault finding“, the „Vehicle self-diagnosis“ or the „Measurement module“ of the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 505X-. |

| Test roller unit is available. |

| The handbrake has been disengaged completely, the warning light for the handbrake has gone out. |
| –
| Switch off rolling road and ensure that rollers turn »freely«. |
| –
| Slowly drive front wheels of vehicle onto rolling road. |
| –
| Remove foot from brake pedal and slowly »accelerate« slightly. |
| Even when the engine speed »rises only slightly«, the vehicle must be trying to drive off the rollers. The Haldex coupling is then working properly. |
