t  The self-diagnosis described here only applies to vehicles ► 05.00, model year 2000. For fault finding in vehicles from model year 2001, 06.00 ►, use vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051- or vehicle diagnosis and service information system -VAS 5052- in “Guided fault finding” mode.
t  Radio systems “Sound 1” and “Sound 2” are not equipped with self-diagnosis. For these radio units, please refer to the following for repair work or fault finding → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations
