| Select the diagnostic function “03 - Final control diagnosis”. |
| 1st final control in test: Test of loudspeakers |
| A test current is applied to the loudspeakers. |
Note! | The test signal is audible or not audible, depending on the manufacturer of the radio navigation system. |
| If a loudspeaker circuit is recognized by the system as defective then a fault message is stored in the fault memory. |
| –
| Press the → key at the bottom right of the tester display, then the unit switches to the next possible final control test in the final control diagnosis. |
| 2nd final control in test: Output radio display dash panel insert |
| The test step is only displayed if there is a display in the dash panel insert. Then “DISPLAY-TEST” is displayed there. |
| The display changes between normal and inverse display every 4 seconds. |
| –
| Press the → key at the bottom right of the tester display, then the unit switches to the next possible final control test in the final control diagnosis. |
| If there are no more final controls to test, the following message appears after the → key is pressed: |
| Final control test is finished |
| –
| Press the ← key at the bottom left of the tester display. |
| –
| Perform the “02 - Interrogate fault memory” function and rectify any faults displayed there. |
| –
| If necessary, repair the wiring of the loudspeakers or renew defective loudspeakers. If necessary, repair the wiring to the display in the dash panel insert or renew a defective dash panel insert. |
| –
| Press the ← key at the bottom left of the tester display. |
| –
| Perform the “05 - Erase fault memory” function. |
| –
| Press the ← key at the bottom left of the tester display. |
| –
| Repeat “03 - Final control diagnosis”. |
| –
| Press the ← key at the bottom left of the tester display. |
| –
| If there are no more faults present, terminate final control diagnosis using “06 - End output”. |
