Additional information:
General description:
Altea and Toledo are fitted with fourth generation immobilisers.
Modifications with respect to the third generation immobiliser:
t  The components from other makes of the Group can no longer be adapted to SEAT vehicles.
t  The vehicle keys are pre-programmed by the manufacturer with a basic coding. This basic coding contains a specific manufacturer's code. The keys can only be programmed for a certain vehicle if they are pre-programmed with the correct manufacturer code.
Detection and display of faults:
The immobiliser has a self diagnosis which aids in error location.
For fault location, use the function „guided fault location“ of the information, measuring and fault diagnosis system -VAS 505X-.
