12 V socket and cigarette lighter -U1-: Removing and installing
For removing the 12 V socket or the cigarette lighter -U1-, it is not necessary to remove the switch unit of the centre console, see the instructions and information relative to this chapter that are listed in the repair manual → Electrical system: General information; Rep. gr.97.
Location of the 12 V socket:
   
1 - Centre console, Altea / Altea XL / Freetrack.
2 - Luggage compartment trim, top left, Altea XL / Freetrack.
3 - Storage shelf holder, left side, Altea.
4 - Switch in the centre console, Altea / Altea XL / Freetrack.

  Note
When removing and installing the 12 V socket and the cigarette lighter -U1-, it is no longer necessary to remove the units in which they are located. For this purpose, use the extractor -T40148-, see the instructions and information relative to this chapter that are listed in the repair manual „Electrical system, general information“.
