Headlamp: correcting the assembly position
  Note
t  Remove the front bumper to correct the assembly position of the headlight.
t  The figure shows the left headlamp.
t  The right headlight assembly position is corrected the same way.
If during the check of the final installation position it is established that the headlight gaps are uneven with the body then the installation position must be corrected.
–  Disconnect ignition and all electrical loads, and remove ignition key.
–  Slacken the securing screws -2- (3,5 Nm) from the top of the headlight.
   
–  With screw -1- adjust to clearance -to-.

–  Unscrew the securing screw -arrows- (5 Nm) from the bottom left-hand side of the headlight.
–  Unscrew the attachment bolts -arrows- (5 Nm) from the bottom right side of the headlamp.

–  Align the flush fitting to the bodywork by screwing the adjustment bush -arrow- at the bottom left-hand side or bottom right side of the headlamp in or out.
–  Tighten nuts and bolts to the torques shown.
–  Check the gaps again with the headlight assembled and correct them if necessary.
–  Check headlight functions.
–  Check headlight setting and adjust headlight as necessary → Booklet101.
  Note
If you remove or adjust a headlight with a gas discharge lamp to the bodywork, after assembling or adjusting it again, you always have to readjust the headlights. → Booklet101.
