| Vehicles with ESP are also equipped with the steering wheel angle sender -G85- which is mounted next to the spring for airbag/retractor ring with contact ring -F138-, in one body. |
Caution | Follow the instructions in the repair manual for disconnecting and connecting the battery to the letter . |

| To remove or install the spring for airbag/retractor ring with contact ring -F138- or the combined steering column switch, the steering wheel must be in the “central position” (wheels “straight”). |

| The spring for airbag/retractor ring with contact ring -F138- cannot be turned out of position. |

| If the steering angle sender -G85- is integrated into the spring for airbag / retractor ring with contact ring -F138- (vehicles with ESP), the basic adjustment of the steering wheel angle sender must be carried out after fitting the combined steering column switch. |

| Put the steering wheel in the “centre position” (wheels “straight”). |

WARNING | When trying to remove or disassemble the spiral spring by levering on the side of the combined steering column switch, the securing tabs may be damaged. |
