Ribbed belt removal
   
–  Remove the hoods -arrows- that cover the motor, using a screwdriver as a lever.

–  Unscrew the bolts -arrows-.
–  Remove the motor cover upwards:
  E27-0018
–  Pry off the covers on the bolts of the second motor cover, using a screwdriver as a lever, and unscrew the bolts -arrows-.
–  Remove the motor cover upwards.
–  Mark direction of rotation of ribbed belt if it is to be reinstalled.

–  To relieve tension on the ribbed belt Poly-V, turn the tensioning device in the direction of the arrow.
  Note!
  A13-0083
It is possible to immobilise the tensioning device using a mandril of 4.5 mm Ø, of approx. 55 mm long -arrow-.
–  Remove the ribbed belt Poly-V.

  Note!
t  When installing the ribbed belt recall the direction of rotation marked before removing it
t  Ensure, before installing ribbed- belt, that all ancillaries (alternator, air conditioner compressor, PAS vane pump) are secured tightly
t  On installing the belt make sure that the ribbed belt is well seated in the pulley
–  Install the ribbed belt Poly-V.
–  Remove the mandril of 4.5 mm Ø.
–  Start engine and check how belt is running.
–  Install engine cover.
–  Remove central and right sound insulation trays: → Body-external installation work; Rep. Gr.50
