Install the battery
  Note!
t  If the battery is reconnected, check the vehicle equipment (radio, clock, power windows) according to the repair manual and/or the instructions for use.
t  To ensure firm seating of the battery only install batteries with 19 mm base plates and proceed as follows.
   
–  The battery must be secured such that the side piece of the battery holder -arrow- fits into notch in the base plate (1).
  Note!
The battery must not move or tilt to either side.

–  Before installing the fixing flange, check that the centre notch of the battery base plate is aligned with the threaded hole of the battery holder -arrows-.
–  Install the fixing flange and tighten the fixing bolt M8 × 25 with 22 Nm.
–  Fit the circuit breaker box with the positive battery terminal.
–  Tighten the fixing bolt of the positive terminal of the battery to 6 Nm.
–  Once the positive terminal has been fixed, connect the earth strap to the negative terminal of the battery and tighten the fixing bolt to 6 Nm.
