Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrenches -SAT 8010-
Removing:
–  Disconnect battery → Chapter.
–  Pull the oil dipstick -1- out of the engine.

–  Remove the engine cover upwards from the catches -arrow-.

–  Separate the plug connection for terminal 50 -1-.
–  Unscrew the securing nut -2- and remove the positive cable.

–  Unscrew the securing nut -arrow- and remove the earth cable from the the upper securing screw of the starter motor.

–  Remove bolt -arrow- securing the upper part of the starter motor.
–  Removing sound proofing element → Body, exterior fitting work; Rep. Gr.50.

–  Undo the securing nut -1- from the bottom screw of the starter motor and remove the support -2-.

–  Remove bolt -arrow- securing the lower part of the starter motor.
–  Remove the starter motor from the vehicle by pulling upwards.
Fitting:
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following:
–  Tighten the fastening bolts or nuts to the torques shown → Chapter .
