| When the dipped beam or the main beam are turned on, the headlights are also cleaned with every fifth actuation of the windscreen wipers when the windscreen wiper lever is pulled towards the steering wheel for minimum 1.5 seconds. |
| After any installation work or when using the headlight washer system for the first time, the air should be bled from the headlight washer to ensure the system is operating correctly. |
| Detection and display of faults: |
| The onboard network control unit -J519- is fitted with a self-diagnosis to assist in fault location. |
| For fault location, use the function “guided fault finding” of the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051A-. |
