General description
The comfort system central control unit -J393- has the following functions in the vehicle:
t  Closing the sliding/tilting sunroof
t  Electrical window control
t  Central locking system
t  Anti-theft alarm system control
t  Radio receiver
t  Tailgate lock
t  Comfort control
  Note
t  When installing a new comfort system central control unit, -J393- it must be coded → Chapter.
t  After the alarm has been set off, the source of the alarm is kept in the memory of the central control unit of the comfort system -J393- → Chapter.
Detection and display of faults:
The comfort system central control unit -J393- is fitted with a self-diagnosis to assist in fault location.
For fault location, use the function “guided fault finding” of the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051A-.
