Solar panel VAS 6102A
General description
The solar panel -VAS 6102A- supports the onboard network and prevents self-discharge of the battery.
The solar panel -VAS 6102A- achieves a maximum voltage of 14.3 V and a maximum charge flow of 255 mA.
Batteries with lead and lead gel can be charged using the solar panel -VAS 6102A-.
The solar panel -VAS 6102A- is connected to the diagnosis connection of the vehicle.
The frame has been provided with a green LED that indicates operation. The brighter the LED illuminates, the stronger the charging current.
An overcharging of the battery is not possible thanks to the integrated electronics.

–  Attach the solar panel -VAS 6102A- to the interior mirror -1-.
–  Place the lower part on the dashboard -2-.
  Note
The solar panel -VAS 6102A- is not allowed to rest completely on the dashboard. Only the bottom edge is allowed to rest. Laying the complete surface on the dashboard will lead to the dashboard changing its colour.
–  Pull the fixing cable until the solar panel -VAS 6102A- is located near to the windscreen.
–  Connect the solar panel -VAS 6102A- to the diagnosis connection of the vehicle. The connection is carried out in the same way as the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system, → Chapter
–  Check the function of the solar panel -VAS 6102A-. The green LED indicates that the solar panel -VAS 6102A- is ready for operation.
