There is no need to disconnect and remove the battery if the battery tester -VAS 5097 A- is used.
With the battery tester with printer -VAS 5097 A- the following 12 V batteries can be tested:
t  cold testing current of 80 to 520 A according to DIN (German industrial standard) → Remark
t  cold current verification of 95 to 574 A, according to IEC (International Engineering Consortium)
t  cold current verification of 136 - 855 A, according to EN/SAE (Europäische Norm/ Standard of Automotive Engineers)
1)  Batteries with a low temperature test current more than 499A according to DIN (e.g. 520A, 580A or 600A) can be checked provisionally with the setting for 499A according to DIN.
For the battery test they are subject to a current equal to that of starting a normal saloon car. Under these conditions, the condition of the battery is assessed and the measurement result is printed out.
