The communication system in the Ibiza 2008 is made up of a basic radio / CD system with an external "Aux-In connector". Transferring the sound via four speakers, one in each door plus a further two in the A-pillars. An operating unit for controlling the radio or radio + telephone is fitted on the steering column. |
As an option, an interface unit connected to the Radio/CD is installed. This unit called "MDI" (Mobile Device interface), combines an AUX-IN wiring and a USB connector. |
Our iPod can be connected through an external cable designed for connecting the USB and the iPod. |
New telephony system Bluetooth, with BAP (Bandwidth Allocation Protocol), which allows to control and show the information through a central unit and Radio display. |
An improved reception with the DAB system ensures for a better audio quality for the user. |
Communication with other vehicle systems is through CAN or Infotainment Bus and the Gateway unit SG/BCM. The switches on the steering column are linked to the radio via the convenience CAN function. |
Some of these systems are only available as optional equipment, therefore not all of the systems come installed in the vehicle. |
