  Note
t  An assembly carrier with consoles forming a unit (welded piece) is installed on vehicles manufactured as of CW 12 2008. Additionally the bottom track control arm, steering joint, wheel bearing housing were changed.
t  An assembly carrier with consoles mounted was inserted on vehicles up to CW 11 2008 → Chapter.
t  Welding and straightening work is not allowed on the bearing and wheel control components of the wheel suspension.
t  Always replace the self-locking nuts and screws.
t  Always replace corroded self-locking nuts and screws.
t  All screws must always be tightened firmly in the unladen condition (unladen weight position) to the chassis parts with rubber-metal bearings - do not load the vehicle → Chapter.
1 - Assembly carrier
q   removing and installing → Chapter
q   Assignment → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts
2 - Screw, 20 Nm + 90°
q   Screws for anti-roll bar clamps
q   replace after each removal
3 - Nut, 40 Nm
q   Assignment → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts
4 - Anti-roll bar
q   to remove and install lower assembly carrier
q   removing and installing → Chapter

5 - Rubber bearing

6 - Spring strap clamp

7 - Nut, 40 Nm

8 - Coupling rod

9 - Bracket
10 - Nut
q   replace after each removal
11 - Rubber-metal bearing
q   Rear rubber-metal bearing for track control arm
q   replace → Chapter
12 - Screw, 20 Nm + 90°
q   replace after each removal
13 - Screw, 70 Nm + 90°
q   replace after each removal
14 - Self-locking nut, 20 Nm + 90°
q   replace after each removal
15 - Steering joint
q   check → Chapter
q   removing and installing → Chapter
16 - Self-locking nut, 40 Nm + 45°
q   replace after each removal
17 - Screw, 70 Nm + 90°
q   replace after each removal
18 - Clip
q   Assignment → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts
19 - Air deflector
q   Assignment → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts
20 - Screw, 70 Nm + 90°
q   replace after each removal
21 - track control arm
q   removing and installing → Chapter
22 - Screw, 70 Nm + 90°
q   replace after each removal
23 - Screw, 30 Nm + 90°
q   replace after each removal
q   Position the screws in the elongated holes of the pendulum support in such a way that there is maximum distance between the gearbox and the assembly carrier
24 - Dowel screw, 40 Nm + 90°
q   replace after each removal
25 - Rubber-metal bearing
q   Front rubber-metal bearing for track control arm
q   replace → Chapter
26 - Pendulum support
q   do not disassemble
q   Position the screws in the elongated holes of the pendulum support in such a way that there is maximum distance between the gearbox and the assembly carrier
q   Assignment → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts
