1 - Rotary knob for interior temperature
2 - Display of the selected interior temperature
3 - In Celsius, if necessary in Fahrenheit
4 - Automatic heating and ventilation operation
5 - Display for ventilating/defrosting the windscreen
6 - Display for air flow direction
7 - Display for re-circulating air operation
8 - Switching on the air conditioning system
9 - Display for blower stage
10 - Blower regulator
11 - Switching on the air conditioning system
12 - Push-button for fresh air/re-circulating air mode
13 - Push-button for air flow in the foot area
14 - Push-button for upper body air flow
15 - Push-button for air flow to the windows
16 - Push-button for ventilating/defrosting the windscreen
17 - Push-button AUTO
q   By pressing the button AUTO the Climatronic maintains the selected interior temperature for the vehicle fully automatically. To this end the temperature of the expelled air, the blower speed and the air distribution are automatically changed.
18 - Dash panel temperature sensor -G56- and Temperature sensor blower -V42-
  Note
If the dash panel temperature sensor -G56- or the temperature sensor blower -V42- fails, it is necessary to replace the control and display unit for air conditioner, Climatronic -E87-.
