t  Body saw e.g. -V.A.G 1523 A-
t  Protective goggles
Work procedure
For separating the exhaust pipe and the silencer, a separation point is provided in the rear part of the exhaust system, which is marked with recesses.
  WARNING
Wear safety goggles.
   
–  Separate exhaust pipe at right angles at the separation point -arrow 1- with body saw.
–  When installing, position double clamp -4- at the side markings -arrow 2- and -arrow 3-.

–  Install double clamps in such a way that the ends of the screws do not protrude beyond the bottom edge of the double clamp.
l  The bolted connection points to the right.
–  Tighten bolted connections of the double clamp evenly to 23 Nm.
–  Align exhaust system free of stress → Chapter.
