Removing
  Note
t  The procedure for removal and installing illustrates the left headlight as an example. The procedure for removal and installing is identical for the right headlight.
t  For an easier fitting of the headlight, mark its position in a suitable manner (e.g. with marker, adhesive tape) before slackening the screws.
t  The fixing screw for the headlight in the wheelhouse is also accessible through the removable cover in the wheelhouse liner.
–  Switch off the ignition and all electrical components.
–  Remove front bumper → Body Work; Rep. gr.63.
   
–  Release screws -1--2- and -3-.
–  Disconnect plug -4- and plug from turn signal light.
Install
Installation is performed in the reverse order, pay attention to the following points:
–  Align the headlight according to the contours of the vehicle body (maintain the gap size → Rep. gr.00) and loosely tighten with screws.
–  Install bumper.

–  By turning -arrow- the setting elements -1-, the headlight is moved and thereby fitted to the surrounding body parts.
–  Subsequently tighten the fixing screws -2- (3.5 Nm), -4- (5 Nm) and then the top screw -3- (3.5 Nm).
  Note
The setting element is aligned automatically when tightening the top screw -3-.
–  Set up the headlight → Chapter.
