Removing and installing the fuel tank > < Rules of cleanliness
Removing and installing the fuel gauge sender

Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Wrench for union nut - MP 1-227 -
Removing
–  Unscrew cover (below rear seat).
–  Release the feed line and the return-flow line and pull it off.
–  Disconnect the connector for the fuel gauge.
   
–  Slacken union nut with wrench -MP 1-227- and pull closing flange with sender out of the fuel tank.
Install
  S20-0054
–  check fitting position:
t  Marking on closing flange must be aligned with marking on fuel tank -arrows-.
t  Blue return-flow hose -1- on the connection with the marking -R-.
t  Black feed hose -2- on the connection with the marking -V-.
