Removing and installing parts of the secondary air system
For engines with engine code AQY and AZH
  Note
t  Components marked with * are tested by self-diagnosis: → 2.0 ltr./85 kW Engine, Fuel Injection and Ignition System → Rep. Gr.01.
t  Components marked with ** are tested by final control diagnosis: → 2.0 ltr./85 kW Engine, Fuel Injection and Ignition System → Rep. Gr.01.
1 - Combination valve 08.2000 ?
–  Valve closed in standstill
–  the valve is opened by air pressure from the secondary air pump
–  check → Chapter
–  removing and installing → Chapter
2 - Combination valve ? 07.2000
–  check → Chapter
–  removing and installing → Chapter
3 - Vacuum hose ? 07.2000
4 - Connector ? 07.2000
–  2-pin
5 - Secondary air injection valve -N112-*/** ? 07.2000
–  in bracket above the brake servo unit
–  check → Chapter
6 - To connection on pipe for brake servo unit
7 - Secondary air pump relay -J299-*/**
–  in relay protective housing in engine compartment next to brake servo unit
8 - “O”-ring
–  replace
9 - Pressure hose
–  check for firm seating
–  press together at front to unlock
10 - Air intake hose
–  for secondary air pump
11 - To air filter
12 - Secondary air pump motor -V101 -**
–  check → Chapter
13 - 25 Nm
14 - 10 Nm
15 - Support
–  for secondary air pump
–  attached to intake manifold
16 - Connector
–  2-pin
17 - Bottom part of intake manifold
18 - To connection on exhaust manifold
19 - 30 Nm
20 - Connecting tube
21 - Heat shield
–  with mount for combination valve
22 - Gasket
–  replace
For engine with engine code AZJ
1 - Combination valve
–  Valve closed in standstill
–  the valve is opened by air pressure from the secondary air pump
–  check → Chapter
–  removing and installing → Chapter
2 - “O”-ring
–  replace
3 - Pressure hose
–  check for firm seating
–  press together at front to unlock
4 - Air intake hose
–  for secondary air pump
5 - To air filter
6 - Secondary air pump motor -V101 -**
7 - Connector
–  2-pin
8 - 10 Nm
9 - 25 Nm
10 - 15 Nm
11 - Support panel
–  for secondary air pump
–  attached to intake manifold
12 - Bottom part of intake manifold
13 - 10 Nm
14 - To connection on exhaust manifold
15 - 30 Nm
16 - Connecting tube
17 - Heat shield
–  with mount for combination valve
18 - Gasket
–  replace
19 - Secondary air pump relay -J299-*/**
–  in relay protective housing in engine compartment next to brake servo unit
