| The function of the sensor for interior monitoring can be checked by the Service station as well as by the customer. |

| Open the window pane of the driver's door slightly, so that you can reach in. |

| Lock the vehicle with the key or the remote control. |

| Wait approx. 2 minutes for the alarm system to be fully effective (recognizable by the slow flashing of the red warning light in the driver's door). |

| Now reach through the opened window of the driver's door into the interior. The alarm must immediately set off (hazard warning lights and alarm horn). |

| The alarm is deactivated by unlocking the vehicle. |
