  Note
t  Before installing heat the inner ring of the tapered-roller bearing to 100°C.
t  Replace both tapered-roller bearings together.
t  When replacing the tapered-roller bearings, the differential gear housing, the gearbox housing or the clutch housing, adjust the differential → Chapter.

q   Individual parts Pos. 2 … 6 are no longer fitted

4 - Pinion for final drive

q   pressed onto differential gear housing
q   pulling off and pressing on only with the differential gear housing removed
q   remove → Fig.
q   pressing on → Fig.
16 - Sealing ring
q   for right flange shaft
q   diameter of left and right differ
q   replace with installed gearbox → Chapter
17 - Angle gearbox
q   Removing and installing with gearbox fitted → Chapter
q   Removing and installing with gearbox removed → Chapter
18 - 40 Nm and torque a further 45°
q   always replace → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts
19 - Washer

q   as of gearbox manufacturing date 19 05 3 with protective ring
q   The protective ring protects the gasket ring against dirt
q   Alternatively lever off the protective ring with a screwdriver
q   Fitting position: Recess points away from the threaded holes in the flange shaft
q   Push on protective ring up to the stop by hand
q   The protective ring must lock with the flange shaft
36 - Sealing ring
q   for left flange shaft
q   diameter of left and right differ
q   replace with installed gearbox → Chapter
