Installing and removing the pressure sensor for side impact
Installing and removing the pressure sensor for side impact
  WARNING
Safety regulations should be observed when handling the airbag units → Chapter.
The airbag system operates with pressure sensors for side impact, which are located in the front doors. For perfect operation of the airbag system, no changes (e.g. a disassembly or an additional assembly of the loudspeakers) must be carried out on the front doors.
Before completing the front doors if possible do not drive the vehicle.
Non-approved changes on the front doors or incomplete front doors can impair the function of the airbag system.
Removing:
–  Disconnect battery earth strap → Electrical System → Rep. gr.27.
–  Removing door assembly carrier → Chapter.
   
–  Disconnect plug connection -3-.
–  Bore out rivet heads -1- and remove pressure sensor -2-.
Installing:
–  Installation is carried out in the reverse order; pay attention to the following points:

When installing the pressure sensor for side impact only use original replacement parts (tear rivet).

Pay attention to the sequence when connecting the battery → Electrical System → Rep. gr.27.
