t  On this engine, the charge-air cooler is located in the intake mainfold and is not cooled through air yet through water → Chapter.
t  The additional radiator for coolant of charge air system which is necessary for this, is located as previously in the lock carrier and is cooled through air.
1 - Additional radiator for coolant of charge air system
q   with top and bottom sealing strips
q   removing and installing → Chapter
2 - O-ring
q   replace if damaged
3 - Top coolant hose
q   connection diagram for coolant hoses → Chapter
4 - Spring strap clamp
q   use spring strap clips, e.g. -VAS 6340-, for removing and installing
5 - Connecting pipe
6 - Coolant hose
q   to the expansion reservoir
7 - Grommet
8 - Coolant hose
q   to exhaust gas turbocharger
9 - Coolant hose
10 - Intake manifold
q   removing and installing → Chapter
11 - Gasket
q   replace if damaged
12 - Seal
q   pay attention to correct seating when installing the charge air cooler
13 - Charge air cooler
q   to remove take off intake manifold → Chapter
14 - 7 Nm
q   when installing first tighten evenly by hand, then tighten to tightening torque
