Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Gasket ring extractor -MP 1-226 (3203)-
t  Assembly device -T10117-
t  Counterholder -T30004 (3415)-
t  Bolt -T30004/1 (3415/1)-
Removing
–  Remove the right wheelhouse liner bottom part → Body Work → Rep. Gr.66.
–  Remove V-ribbed belt → Chapter.
   
–  Release fixing screw for crankshaft belt pulley.
   Counterhold crankshaft belt pulley with counterholder -T30004 - and bolt -T30004/1-.
–  Release fixing screw and remove crankshaft belt pulley.
–  Unscrew inner part of the gasket ring extractor -MP 1-226- three turns (approx. 5 mm) out of the outer part and lock with knurled screw.

–  Oil the thread head of the gasket ring extractor -MP 1-226 -, position and forcefully screw it into the gasket ring as far as possible.
–  Release knurled screw and turn the inner side against the crankshaft until the gasket ring is pulled out.
–  Remove the bushing from the crankshaft journal and clean the clamping surface of the crankshaft chain sprocket.
Install
  Note
t  Install the new repair set → Chapter (diamond coated washer and bushing).
t  Please observe that the clamping surfaces of the fixing screw, the crankshaft belt pulley, the diamond coated washers, the bushing and the crankshaft chain sprocket are free of oil and grease.
–  Replace the O-ring in the bushing → Chapter.
  S13-0410
–  First of all push the new bushing -3- and the washer (inner diameter 23 mm) -2- onto the fixing screw -1-.
–  Screw the fixing screw -1- by about 2 turns into the crankshaft.
–  Then push the washer -3- and the bushing -3- up to the stop onto the crankshaft stub.
–  Release the fixing screw (at the same time press the bushing against the crankshaft).
  N13-10131
–  Position the sleeve -T10117/2- on the bushing and slide the gasket ring onto the bushing
–  Remove the sleeve -T10117/2- from the bushing.
  S13-0438
–  Press the gasket ring with the assembly device -T10117- by striking uniformly up to the stop in the timing case.
–  Tighten screw for crankshaft belt pulley → Chapter.
Further installation occurs in a similar way in reverse order to removal.
