Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Assembly tool -T10118-
Removing
–  Remove the lower part of the oil pan → Chapter
   
–  Remove baffle -arrows-.

–  Screw out screws -arrows-.
  Note
For the following working step a second mechanic is required.

–  Pull back the chain tensioner with the assembly tool -T10118 - and swivel out the oil pump with chain sprocket.
Install
Further installation occurs in reverse order. Pay attention to the following:
t  Tightening torques → Chapter
–  Before installing the oil pump, check the strainer in the suction line and the oil ducts in the upper part of the oil pan for contamination.
–  Check if both dowel sleeves for centering the oil pump are present.
–  Replace baffle.
  Note
There is a plastic ribbing on the baffle, which forever deforms when tightening. The plastic ribbing ensures that the baffle is tight and does not rattle. For this reason the baffle must always be replaced.
–  Install the lower part of the oil pan → Chapter.
